Overall it was a very pleasant stay for a weekend. The location was comfortable, the staff was EXCELLENT. The airport was approx 30 minutes' drive away. Got the same king room booked online with the bar and king sized bed, for example. Truly enjoyed the bright decor of the room.

Had really really nice stay for a weekend. I loved continental breakfasts with bread etc available from the hosts. It was next to both the river, the railway station to Carlisle, and the bridge over Tyne next to the pub, lovely and fantastic location overall. Moreover, the hotel was near Railway Museum.

would not hesitate to return here
Decent place with a shared bathroom, but only had to share with one other. The pub downstairs serves real ale, awesome! The kitchen surprised us with a washing machine and decent cooking resources. The keys were easy to manage, and noise levels dropped at a good hour.

The kitchen facility was a welcome surprise, including the
Washing machine. We didn't use this much but were impressed by the resources we could have used. The key system worked well for handing back keys, but the noise and outside lights could be disruptive at times.

Great kitchen setup and washing machine. Room was a bit small for the price.

The shared bathroom arrangement worked well, only having one other room sharing it. Enjoying real ale from the pub downstairs was a wonderful bonus for beer enthusiasts. The room felt lacking, with only tea and coffee facilities offered, and the bed was just okay, which detracted from the comfort of the stay.

would recommend for a break on long journey
Decent room, decent pub, with a shared bathroom that was easy to access and well-maintained. The real ale downstairs was a highlight of our stay, and the free wi-fi made it convenient to plan our travels nearby, just 16 km from the nearest airport.

cozy atmosphere , but limited bathroom options
The real ale selection at the pub downstairs was excellent. The charm of the building added character to my experience.
Bathroom access could use improvement due to the shared arrangement.

Perfect self-catering spot!
We stayed for a night and it was pretty chill! The large comfy bed was awesome, really better than most hotels. It was nice being able to prep our own meals with all the stuff provided like cereals and bread. The lounge area was a great spot to relax too. Just wish the shared bathroom was a bit cleaner.
